In observance of Independence Day, we will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and closing early at 5 pm on Wednesday, July 3.

The library will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Open regular hours, 9am-5pm, on Saturday, Jan. 18.

The library will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. The library will be open regular hours on Saturday, May 24.

The library will be closed Monday, Apr. 21, in observance of Patriots' Day.  Open regular hours, 9 am - 5 pm, on Saturday, Apr. 19.

The library will be closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

The service that we use for our online museum pass reservations may not be working correctly over the weekend of January 11-12. Please call the Reference Dept. at 781-848-0405 x4417 during regular library hours to have a museum pass reserved for you. Please have your library card information handy! We apologize for the inconvenience.

The library will be closed Monday, Feb. 17, in observance of Washington's Birthday (Presidents' Day).  Open regular hours, 9 am - 5 pm, on Saturday, Feb. 15.

All non-emergency municipal offices, including the library, will be closed Tuesday, February 13th, due to the impending snowstorm.

Thayer Public Library has a new online event calendar (LibCal). The old calendar (Eventkeeper) is no longer being updated. Please bookmark the library's new event calendar here. Please also bookmark our museum pass page for pass reservations after Dec. 31.

Saturday hours are back! Library Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9 am-9 pm; Friday & Saturday, 9 am-5 pm.

Library hours will be 9 am to 12 pm on Tuesday,  Dec. 31 (New Year's Eve). The library will be closed all day on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
