MUSEUM PASSES
The Thayer Public Library has memberships to several museums. Your Old Colony Library Network (OCLN) library card is required to reserve and pick up passes. Most museums charge a nominal fee with the pass. In most cases, there will be an additional cost for special exhibits. We encourage you to phone your destination before leaving home to be assured the museum is open.
PROCEDURE FOR PASS USE
Reservations for museum passes can be made online, in person or on the phone. You must have an OCLN library card in good standing (less than $15.00 in fines). You must have your library card to reserve and check out passes. You may reserve passes at the Adult Reference Desk on the Lower Level. For telephone reservations call 781-848-0405 ext. 4417. When you call, please have your library card number available.
Many passes are now available as e-tickets; these passes or discount codes will be emailed to you. For passes that are not emailed, pick up the pass at the Reference Desk during regular library hours. The pass will be issued to you upon presentation of your OCLN library card. No deposit is required for any pass. If you are unable to use a reserved pass, please call to cancel your reservations so someone else may use it. Passes will be held until 12:00 pm on the day of use.
Multiple-use passes must be returned to the Reference Desk by 10:00 am on the due date, which will be the first day the library is open after you use the pass. There is a $5.00 fee if these passes are returned late. You will be charged a $25.00 replacement fee if these passes are not returned.
